NEWTON FAULKNER - Feels Like Home Tour 2<br />

Edinburgh’s Dubinski are four inseparable siblings:<br />

Eugene, Fergus, Donal and Eoin Gaine. Dubinski have<br />

now taken their high-energy show on the road as an<br />

international touring act and are gearing up for the<br />

release of their sophomore album, to be released<br />

autumn 2024. Bütter are a band rooted in the right<br />

now, with their own brand of authentic, feverish<br />

psychedelic rock. 3 Out Of 4 - an energetic and<br />

SKERRYVORE :: At Old Fire Station, Carlisle. From<br />

their traditional Tiree roots Skerryvore have<br />

developed both in size and sound to create a unique<br />

fusion of their traditional music and songs with the<br />

urban sounds of rock, pop and funk. The band’s ability<br />

to fuse traditional Scottish music and rhythms with a<br />

range of other genres is a trademark of their<br />

ARAB STRAP (with full band) :: At Brickyard,<br />

Carlisle. Arab Strap are a Scottish indie rock<br />

band whose core members are Aidan Moffat and<br />

Malcolm Middleton. In January 2024, the band<br />

announced their new album, I'm totally fine with<br />

it, don't give a fuck anymore, with the first<br />

single "Bliss". The album will be released on<br />

St Boswells Live! Presents ….. MA KELLY'S<br />

BOYS :: At St Boswells Village Hall, St Boswells,<br />

Scottish Borders. 7.30pm. £15. BYOB and<br />

Nibbles. Ma Kelly's Boys play Status Quo from<br />

the golden years of 1970 to 1976, covering<br />

material from the albums 'Ma Kelly's Greasy<br />

Spoon' until 'Blue For You". Come join Ma Kelly's<br />

Boys and drink of the Quo boogie. A cover band<br />

playing 1970-1976 Status Quo covers with a raw<br />

70s sound, not always note for note....but then<br />

neither did Quo when playing live! Definitely not<br />

When Mountains Meet :: At Corn Exchange,<br />

Melrose. The captivating cross-cultural tale tells<br />

the true story of Scottish musician Anne Wood<br />

as she travels from the Highlands to the<br />

Himalayas to meet her father for the first time.<br />

Featuring an international cast of storytellers<br />

and musicians, the show features a vibrant live<br />

score combining alap, raag, reel and strathspey,<br />

as well as English, Gaelic and Hindustani vocals.<br />

‘The When Mountains Meet’ album will be<br />

released on 25 April. Featuring new music<br />

composed by Anne, the show is co-directed by<br />

Kath Burlinson (Mairi Campbell: Pulse and Auld<br />

Lang Syne) and Niloo-Far Khan (Play, Pie, Pint;<br />

Grid Iron/EIF; NTS) with Mary MacMaster (The<br />

Poozies) on harp, Rick Wilson on percussion and<br />

Rakae Jamil on sitar. The cast of storytellers is<br />

Iman Aktar (The Great Muslim Panto, Play, Pie,<br />

Pint), Hassan Javed (The Great Muslim Panto,<br />

Play, Pie, Pint) and Jamie Zubari (In The Weeds,<br />

BLACK UMFOLOSI :: At MacArts, Bridge<br />

Acappella and Dance Group from Zimbabwe -<br />

The idea of Black Umfolosi came about in 1982<br />

when a group of school mates started<br />

improvising their own means of entertainment,<br />

while at a ZIMFEP Institute. With a gentleness of<br />

spirit, a joy of singing and exuberance in dance,<br />

Black Umfolosi has touched audiences of all ages<br />

locally and internationally since then, and hence<br />

having done sixteen recordings.<br />

TAILGUNNER ‘Guns For Hire Tour’ with<br />

year for the five piece, they delivered their<br />

BOMBSKARE :: At MacArts, Bridge Street,<br />

Galashiels, TD1 1SP. 7.30pm. Introducing the<br />

bishops of bounce, the sorcerers of skank, the<br />

undisputed masters of Scottish death reggae,<br />

the one and only Bombskare the closest thing<br />

you'll see to an actual northern powerhouse.<br />

This nine headed ska demon has been tearing<br />

up stages the length and breadth of the British<br />

Isles since before The Crusades. Renowned for<br />

their technical prowess as much as their<br />

infectious ska anthems, they combine lush,<br />

threepart harmonies with choppy guitar attacks<br />

and an explosive horn section to truly blow the<br />
