Appointment of new FELSISA Treasurer:
After long time service first as auditor and then as treasurer of the FELSISA,
Mr Berno Niebuhr (Pretoria) has retired. He served in this honorary position
with great dedication, faithfulness and enthusiasm for the benefit of the
Synod and for the glory of God. The FELSISA sincerely thanks him for all his
work. God bless. At the request of the Synodical Council, Mr Edmund
Böhmer (Wittenberg), will take up the office of treasurer, starting with the
beginning of the new fiscal year (December 1, 2012). We thank him for his
willingness and wish him God’s guidance and strength. His address is:

Vicarage for Heinz Hiestermann:
Seminarian Heinz Hiestermann will start his vicarage on 1. January 2013 in
the Congregation of Christ, Kirchdorf (and also Our Saviour and Immanuel
Congregation in Pietermaritzburg). Pastor Michael Ahlers (Kirchdorf) will act
as mentor. Vicar Hiestermann, with wife Renate and daughter Lotta, will
reside in the Wartburg-Kirchdorf Schülerheim (hostel). Their address there

Agreement Signed between FELSISA and ELC:
On 7. September 2012, the Associate Membership Agreement between the
Evangelical Lutheran Congregation (ELC) and the Free Evangelical Lutheran
Synod in South Africa (FELSISA) was signed in Pretoria by Bishop Reinstorf
and Pastor Nathan
Mntambo. The agreement
is valid for four
years. After Missionary
Axel Wittenberg returned
to Germany, the
ELC called Pastor
Nathan Mntambo, lecturer
at the Lutheran
Theological Seminary
in Tshwane, to serve
the church for the next
three years.
