The Competition Around the World
Following the 2003 Competition, a syndicated radio series was developed that featured 13 onehour
programs of solo performances by the 2003 contestants. The syndicating entity was
WCLV/Seaway Productions, which offered the programs to classical radio stations across the
country. The series, which was broadcast on 95 stations across the U.S., as well as in ten
countries in Europe, reflected favorably on the Competition and the city of Cleveland. The Series
was successfully repeated in 2005, and we are very pleased that our 2007 contestants and The
Cleveland Orchestra will be syndicated again in early 2008.
