the Forum, koramangala always takes the shopping experience way<br />

beyond mere shopping, which is the reason why the discerning citizens<br />

of Bangalore continue to throng its portals. here is a run down of the<br />

recent excitement at the Forum, koramangala, which had delighted<br />

consumers asking for more.<br />

Fun and Frolic on chocolate day<br />

July 7 is celebrated as chocolate day in many countries as it is believed<br />

that this day marks the arrival of the ‘dark tempter’ on the shores of<br />

europe in 1550. the Forum, koramangala celebrated the day in style<br />

with fun activities like a chocolate–eating competition, spin-thewheel<br />

and much more. the winners were fittingly rewarded with<br />

a huge chocolate bar weighing 2.5 kgs, while premium flavoured<br />

chocolates were given out as consolation prizes.<br />

FestiVal oF music.<br />

The Forum, Koramangala set the city on fire with Break Free -The<br />

ultimate music Fest, aimed at providing a platform to encourage<br />

budding musicians. the 4 day long festival saw music enthusiasts from<br />

all over Bangalore leaving the audience and judges equally spell-bound<br />

with their gripping performances.<br />

The first day of the festival was dedicated to Indian classical music.<br />

renowned music guru sri rk Padmanabhan, who was the judge,<br />

picked krishna Prasad, ragavendra, anuradha and akshatha, to<br />

perform in the finals.<br />

World music and fusion was the theme of the second day and judge<br />

amit heri selected the bands ‘Fused’ and ‘rhythmic energy’ to perform<br />

at the grand finale.<br />

the third day was dedicated to rock music and galeej gurus, india’s<br />

famed rock band, judged the competition. Bands ‘hungry’, ‘distortion<br />

Culture’ and ‘The Roll Call’ made it to the finals.<br />

The grand finale had renowned singer Lucky Ali as the guest-of-honour.<br />

the ‘man with the Velvet Voice’ also rendered ‘o sanam’ and ‘sunoh’<br />

on the occasion.<br />

after some enthralling performances, k.V. krishnaprasad, ‘rhythmic<br />

energy’ and ‘hungry’ emerged victorious, winning the trophies in their<br />

respective categories along with the chance to exhibit their talent live<br />

on the city’s most popular music station – radio one. the prizes also<br />

included watches from titan and a one day workshop to learn logic<br />

studio, the preferred music production software for composers and<br />

artists worldwide.<br />
