august 2011 at uB city.<br />

address by Chief Operating Officer Atul<br />
kumar, followed by a cultural program and<br />
an awards ceremony, where commendations<br />
were handed out to deserving employees.<br />

safety first<br />
mock evacuation drill conducted<br />
at uB city:<br />
city Properties maintenance company limited (cPmcBl), the<br />
company that looks after the infrastructure and facilities at uB city,<br />
conducted a mock evacuation and disaster management drill on<br />
29th July 2011. this drill is conducted once every year to ensure that the<br />
emergency response teams, security personnel and other employees are<br />
fully prepared to tackle any situation that may arise.<br />
The officials of Karnataka Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards &<br />
civil defense and safety & security divisions of uB and <strong>Prestige</strong> group<br />
were present during this drill.<br />
karnataka Fire & emergency services personnel demonstrated the snorkel<br />
which can reach up to a height of 54 meters. they also demonstrated<br />
various types of extinguishers and techniques to fight the fire.<br />
UB City has been provided with modern fire detection and suppression<br />
systems as per the norms of the Fire department to take care of any<br />
emergencies in the building. Beside, the emergency response team of<br />
cPmcBl is also equipped with modern safety gadgets including Bomb<br />
Suppression Blankets, Fireman’s Outfits and more.<br />
