28 July, 2011 was a red letter day in the history of
Prestige, when the company, post listing, had its
first ever Annual General Meeting of Members.
the meeting was held at at 4.00 p.m. at taj West
end, race course road, Bangalore.
the main agenda was to approve the annual
accounts of Prestige for the financial year
2010-11. a dividend of 12% was declared on the
face of value of equity shares by the members
88 shareholders attended in person representing
73.36% of Prestige’s paid-up-share capital and
34 by proxies representing 4.48% of the paid-upshare
capital.
the meeting was chaired by mr. irfan razack, the
chairman & managing director, who also briefed
the shareholders about the current economic
scenario, new projects in the pipeline, business
updates and future outlook, csr activities etc.
mr. Venkat k. narayana, cFo, then gave a
brief presentation on Prestige’s financial and
operational performance.
the response from the shareholders was
overwhelming. they complimented and
congratulated Prestige and its Board of directors
for the company’s growth and successful iPo.
some of the shareholders also suggested to the
Board that Prestige should also venture into
infrastructure and allied services, and replicate its
success and qualitative work in this sector also.
