Susan Herrmann Loomis, award winning<br />

author <strong>of</strong> nine books, internationally<br />

recognized chef, and the owner <strong>of</strong> On Rue<br />

Tatin Cooking School in Normandy, France,<br />

is coming to <strong>Arizona</strong> to share her love <strong>of</strong><br />

French foods and her expertise in French<br />

cooking through hands-on cooking classes.<br />

Proceeds from these events will benefi t<br />

student programs supported by the Parents<br />

and Family Association.<br />

From November 8-12, <strong>2010</strong>, Susan, a<br />

native <strong>of</strong> Portland, OR will cook authentic<br />

French dishes by your side, telling stories<br />

Students receive a hand-on experience preparing, cooking and eating various dishes.<br />

and sharing her techniques. When it’s<br />

time to hang up your aprons, you will head<br />

to a candle lit dining room to enjoy the<br />

dishes you have prepared, accompanied by<br />

cheeses and wines.<br />

Each class features hands-on experience<br />

making everything from appetizers<br />

and soups to fi ne French desserts, all prepared<br />

with local <strong>Arizona</strong> ingredients, in a<br />

friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Th e price<br />

for each class, including a four course meal<br />

and wines is $275 per person, or $100 if you<br />

wish to observe and enjoy just the meal.<br />

broad. Additional locations will be<br />

considered upon request, depending upon<br />

our students depend on, including Safe<br />

Ride/Safe Walk and the UA Th ink Tank,<br />

which provides tutoring to our students in<br />

core skills areas on a drop-in basis.<br />
