The NCGC was formed in April 2009 following the
merger of the National Collaborating Centres for Acute
Care, Chronic Conditions, Nursing and Supportive and
Primary Care. We are hosted by the Royal College of
Physicians and have governance partnerships with the
Royal College of Surgeons of England, Royal College
of General Practitioners, Royal College of Nursing and
Royal College of Physicians.
We are commissioned by the National Institute of
Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to develop and
produce clinical guidelines on a broad range of clinical
and care related topics. We have 20 guidelines in
development at any one time, making us one of the
largest clinical guideline centres in the world.

STX-Med Company develops practical innovations
for use on humans in the field of electronics and
bio-electronics. It has developed an expertise in
external recording (biofeedback) and producing
(neurostimulation) signals at the cranial level. The
products developed by STX-Med are for external
occipital and/or trigeminal neurostimulation as well
as biofeedback. All STX-Med’s products use wireless
technology. They are fully programmable by the
neurologist via software and a computer interface. All
products register the patient compliance in order to
be control precisely and easily by the neurologist.
