ALPINE in Munich: topping-out ceremony for the Altstadt<br />

Palais<br />

Munich: ALPINE Bau Deutschland AG is currently constructing the Altstadt Palais at Karl Scharnagl<br />

Ring in the heart of Munich, with visual contact to Maximilianstrasseproject for its clients, Accumulata<br />

Immobilien Development GmbH and LBBW Immobilien Capital GmbH.<br />

The building carcass for 4 basement floors and 6 upper floors is nearing completion on an area of<br />

2,600 m 2 . The building complex is to be used as an exclusively furnished office building. The property<br />

will also profit from the penthouse flooded with natural daylight featuring a rooftop terrace facing<br />

the Klostergarten.<br />

The basement garage will have approx. 90 parking spaces. The remaining 4 subbasement floors<br />

will be used as engineering and storage rooms.<br />

The entire building will be designed using Feng Shui principles.<br />

The topping-out ceremony took place December 10, 2007 with nearly 280 invited guests. The<br />

prominent figures included Georg Fahrenschon (Secretary of State for the Bavarian Ministry of Finance),<br />

Christine Strobl (Munich's second mayor), Prof. Fritz Auer (architectural office Auer + Weber<br />

+ Assoziierte) and Ralf Nisar (LBBW Immobilien). Bernd Haggenmüller (Shaftesbury Asset<br />

Management) delivered an address for the buyer, UBS Wealth Management Continental European<br />

Property Fund Limited.<br />

The building was consecrated by Monsignore Erwin Hausladen from the Catholic parish of St.<br />

Thomas Morus and Father Maximilian from the Bavarian Franciscan province.<br />

Hans Schlamp, managing partner of Accumulata Immobilien Development, introduced the official<br />

speakers.<br />

The ceremony ended with the topping-out speech by the project manager, Hermann Reiter, on behalf<br />

of ALPINE Bau Deutschland AG.<br />

The official ceremony was followed by a felicitous gala together with clients, buyers, planners, the<br />

management of ALPINE Bau Deutschland, the construction management and the construction site<br />

staff.<br />
