1. The current amount of wealth women control is $14 trillion.<br />
2. Consumer spending by women is $3.7 trillion & business spending is $1.5 trillion.<br />
3. Women purchase 83% of all products and services.<br />
4. Women directly purchase or influence the purchase of 91% of all new homes.<br />
5. Home furnishings: 94%<br />
6. Home fix up: More than 55%<br />
7. Women account for 88% of retail customers in the United States.<br />
8. Bank accounts: 89%<br />
9. Beauty & hygiene: Women are purchasing more than 90%.<br />
10. Clothes, accessories: Women wear more than 90% of items such as jewelry and<br />

use by 2000 and spend far more time on e-mail than men. The latest estimates are<br />
as high as 60% of Internet use is by women, with 83% considered to be the<br />
primary decision maker for e-commerce.<br />
14. Meetings: Women plan the meetings and comprise the majority of certified<br />
meeting planners.<br />

17. Lawn mowers: Women purchase approximately 81% of riding lawn mowers.<br />
18. Travel: Women represent the majority of consumer travel and approximately 50%<br />

19. Credit cards: Women carry 76 million credit cards, 8 million more than men.<br />
20. Home computer: Women account for 66% of all home-computer purchases.<br />
21. Vehicles: Women are directly responsible for the purchase of 50% of all new cars<br />
and trucks sold in the U.S. – 8.5 million of the 17 million new vehicles in 2003. In<br />
terms of dollars, women “are worth” $85 billion to automotive and related<br />
