nrg4SD at the UN Rio +20 Conference
In a nutshell:
13-19 June 2012 | State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
� From 13 to 15 June, nrg4SD will take part in the last preparatory meeting as one of the
organising partners of the Local Authorities Major Group for the UN Conference on
Sustainable Development Rio +20.
� From 17 to 18 June, nrg4SD will convene its annual statutory meetings - Steering
Committee and General Assembly - and hold sessions of its working groups. On the 18 in
the evening, a reception will be hosted by the Governor of Rio de Janeiro.
� On 19 June the World Summit of Federated States and Regions co-organised by the
host State of Rio de Janeiro, nrg4SD, The Climate Group and Regions-United/FOGAR will
take place. A specialised website has been created where you have to register for the
World Summit and access the full programme of events organised by the State of Rio de
Janeiro from 13 to 22 June.
� From 16 to 18 June nrg4SD members are encouraged to participate in the Sustainable
Development Dialogues aiming to bring together civil society, public and private sectors,
the scientific community and academia to contribute ideas and suggestions on sustainable
development. These dialogues which have already started online will culminate in a live
event in Rio prior to the UN Conference. To participate, click here
