GRAND REOPENING<br />

The FIA’s Phase I Grand Reopening began with a breakfast<br />

hosted with <strong>Flint</strong>’s Sesquicentennial Committee and included<br />

dignitaries Congressman Dale Kildee, Senator Carl Levin and<br />

Senator Debbie Stabenow. The opening day’s activities featured<br />

an interfaith dedication, ribbon cutting, guest lectures, unveilings<br />

and <strong>the</strong> launching <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Institute</strong>’s Fall film season.<br />

The Grand Reopening sponsor, Citizens Bank, helped <strong>the</strong> FIA<br />

welcome over 1500 guests. Saturday initiated “Target Free<br />

Saturdays,” a grant program that provided free admission on<br />

Saturdays for <strong>the</strong> duration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Andy Warhol: A to Z exhibition<br />

and was sponsored by <strong>the</strong> Target Corporation. The Warhol<br />

exhibition was sponsored through <strong>the</strong> Community Foundation<br />

<strong>of</strong> Greater <strong>Flint</strong>, <strong>the</strong> Founders Society and <strong>the</strong> Friends <strong>of</strong> Modern<br />

Art. In addition, Bank One renewed <strong>the</strong>ir sponsorship <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Graphics Gallery.<br />
