Located in Eveleigh, New South Wales, Performance Space is a national centre for contemporary
interdisciplinary arts and hybrid performance practice. Performance Space supports artists
undertaking research and development through a residency program, training laboratories,

SymbioticA
Located in Perth, SymbioticA is a centre for excellence in biological arts and an artistic
laboratory dedicated to the research, learning, critique and hands-on engagement with the
life sciences. SymbioticA’s emphasis is on experiential practice. SymbioticA facilitates a thriving
program of residencies, research, academic courses, exhibitions, symposiums, seminars and
workshops.

Synapse
Collaboration between the arts and sciences has the potential to create new knowledge, ideas
and processes beneficial to both fields. For the past decade, the Australian Network for Art
and Technology (ANAT) has provided opportunities for artists and scientists to work together.
