Cemeteries and Gravemarkers Cemetery Tour

This tour is sponsored by the Cemeteries and Gravemarkers Area of the American Culture
Association. An all day [7:45am – 5:00pm] excursion to various cemeteries in and around
New Orleans has been planned to provide participants an opportunity to visit these cemeteries
and to investigate and analyze gravemarkers found at the selected burial sites. Participants
will meet in the hotel lobby at 7:45 am sharp. Details about and the cost of this tour will be
made available upon request after 01 March 2009 from the Area Chair: J.Joseph Edgette,
Ph.D. by way of email at: jjedgette@enter.net Space will be limited and will be available on
a first-come first-serve basis.
Dance Culture Area Welcome Luncheon
Thursday. April 10. Meet at 11:30 A.M. (at the conclusion of Dance Culture IV in
La Galerie 1 on the second floor of the conference hotel). ALL interested in dancerelated
studies and practice are welcome!
Fashion, Appearance & Consumer Identity & Subcultural Style will be meeting
in 55 Fahrenheit from Thursday, April 9, 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M. for a precocktail/drinks/discussion
gathering prior to the "Annual Reception" . . . of course ALL ARE
