16 Faculty Resources Faculty Resources The main strength of Asia-Pacific lies in its core of highly qualified faculty. The optimal blend of academic �� make the course structures and delivery amongst the best in the country. The constant interaction with the corporate world at all stages of the process, from induction to placement, keeps the programme industry focused, while the faculty members bring in the requisite conceptual clarity, theoretical rigor and innovative ideas which are key elements in the shaping of managers. The faculty members are mostly Ph.D.’s or in the process of acquiring doctoral qualifications, and the quality of research activity can be judged by the constant stream of research papers and articles that are published in reputed journals or presented at important conferences and seminars. Dr. A.N. Sarkar - Officiating Director Dr. A.N. Sarkar- a Doctorate from the University of Wales (UK), is currently the Officiating Director and Senior Professor at AIM. His current involvement also includes working as an Editor of �� Schools in Delhi-NCR region. He has served as Convener-cum-Member Secretary to a number of Inter-Ministerial Committees. �� Gas Industries, Biotechnology, Fertilizer Industries, Agro-based Industries, and International Projects on Sustainable Development. Dr. Sarkar has to his credit 11 Books and 65 Research papers published in prominent National and International Journals. Dr. N. H. Mullick - Professor and Dean Academics �� and academics. In industry he had worked for 15 years in senior positions at Zenith Computers Limited and Onida. He has been in academics for more than 10 years teaching Marketing subjects �� He has also written 7 books in Management and has many publications to his credit in national and international journals. He has also participated and chaired in a number of national and international conferences, seminars, events, and panel discussions. He has also organized a number of national and international seminars, conferences, panel discussions as well as other events. He is also Vice President Communications of IACMP (International Advisory Council for the Marketing Profession) an honorary position of International Institute of Marketing Professionals, Canada. Professor R.K. Singhal - Assistant Professor �� full time/adjunct/other basis with the Management Institutes like IMT, RNIS, ISBM, IMD, SSCBS �� in industries He was posted abroad as CEO.
Faculty Resources Prof. Pranav Saraswat - Assistant Professor �� on the topic “depository system”. He has presented eight papers in seminars and conferences and three articles have been published in refereed journal. He is also attended three international conferences, one faculty development programme [AICTE approved and sponsored] and two national workshops. He is a winner of BOLT [Broad Outlook Learner Teacher] award which is given by Air India for �� India. Professor Piali Haldar - Assistant Professor Prof. Piali Haldar is an Asstt. Professor of Marketing at AIM, New Delhi for more than four years at AIM. Prof. Piali Haldar has a BA (Hons) in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and PGDRM from Institute of Rural Management Anand(IRMA), Gujrat in 1996. She is a management professional with a flair for teaching and training. �� with National Dairy Development Board, Anand, Gujrat. She has switched to academics 7 years back due to her keen interest in academics. She has completed her MPhil in Business Administration and currently is pursuing her Ph. D. at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. �� top level positioning corporate sector. Before joining AIM, she was IBAT, Greater Noida Campus as Asstt. Professor. �� building, managing distribution and sales forces, advertising and sales promotion strategies and managing the market �� range of products from different organisation such as Amul, Bokaro Dairy, Mother Dairy, Seva Mandir, Dabur, MPPL etc. Prof. Piali Haldar is interested in consultancy and research in the area of rural marketing and rural retailing. She has written papers on different topic on rural marketing and rural development for different journal and conferences. �� area of interest in teaching is Rural Marketing, Rural Retailing, Retail Management, Strategic Marketing Management, Sales Management etc. Professor Pankaj Kumar - Assistant Professor �� Economics (MU, Bodh Gaya), M.Phil. Economics (University of Indore) and Ph.D. Economics �� Limited, Patna (BSIDC JV) as an Economist. His area of teaching interest are Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics, Business Environment, Econometrics and Game Theory. His area of research interest are Development Economics, MSME, Agriculture Economics and Financial Economics. He has contributed 6 research articles, 02 national seminars, 5 Copyright Model and 3 books. He is Life Member of Indian Economic Association and Life Member of The Indian Econometric Society. 17
