<strong>The</strong> Bakker Family’s 26 th Annual Third World Bazaar - 2007<br />

This year's Third World Bazaar in<br />
Manotick Station,(located next to<br />
Bakker’s General Store at the corner of<br />
Mitch Owens Road and Manotick<br />
Station Road), featured wonderful<br />
items purchased from local artisans<br />
and suppliers in Indonesia, Guatemala,<br />
Namibia, Cuba, Thailand, South Africa<br />
and Kenya.<br />
Each fall the<br />
Bakker family<br />
(Peggy, Dick,<br />
Anneka, Case)<br />
bring the flavours<br />
of the world to<br />
Manotick Station.<br />
This fall it was<br />
for six three-day<br />
weekends,<br />
starting October<br />
6th, the week-end<br />
Dick Bakker<br />
b e f o r e<br />
Thanksgiving, and<br />
continuing on<br />
until the weekend of November 11th.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Bakkers opened each weekend<br />
day from 10am to 5pm, and their many<br />
repeat customers were encouraged to<br />
bring non-perishable donations for the<br />
Shepherds of Good Hope, and they<br />
also welcomed everyone to make a<br />
donation to MSF (Doctors without<br />
Borders);<br />
<strong>The</strong> Bakker Family matched all<br />
donations made by their customers!<br />
