Gemütlichkeit! - What great food and wine can do to you!
The Metzgete is celebrated in Switzerland
traditionaly in the fall. In olden days the farmers needed
to provide food for the winter months. and being unable
to feed all of their livestock through the winter, it was
only natural to slaughter a pig or two in the fall. The pig
fed people through the cold, hard winters.
