Student Art Contest
The Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers host the dog show at Tradex
and celebrate young artists. We do this by offering an art contest
for students grades 1 - 12, featuring a dog theme.
The student’s artwork is prominently displayed at Canada’s
Largest Dog Show. Prizes are awarded.
The theme for the 2011 Student Art Contest is: Dogs in Canada.
The deadline for entries is
September 15, 2011
The theme in 2011 is “Dogs in Canada” and can be interpreted in whatever style
and medium you choose other than photography or computer generated art. You
choose. The image of a dog or dogs must be included.
One entry per student.
Pictures on paper must be matted on poster or mat board (not behind glass).
Outside dimensions may range from 8” x 10” to 16” to 20”.
Artwork entered must be postmarked to:

2011. Classrooms that are entering more than 10 pieces of artwork.
Prizes: In Each group
Best in Group Gift Card for $100.00
Runner Up Gift Card for $50.00
Best In Show Prize $150.00 Gift Card
and $250.00 donation
to the art department of the artist’s school.
Each placement will receive a complimentary ticket to attend the show. The winner
may have their artwork on items for the 2012 show.
Winners will be selected from
each of the six groups:
Grades 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12
Winners will be notified by email no later than October 15, 2011.
All Artwork must be attached on the back with the students name, address, email,
phone, school and parent or guardians name. We will return the artwork after the
competition should the information be legible.
