Philip John grew up with German Shepherds. In 1977 he became an All<br />

Breed judge on the KCI panel. Today at 59 he has over 25 years of judging<br />

experience both nationally and at international shows.<br />

His first international exposure was an Open <strong>Show</strong> in Singapore. In 1981 he stood<br />

in to judge the Hound Group at North of the Harbor Club's silver jubilee show.<br />

Thereafter, he has judged several shows in New Zealand, and Australia where he<br />

judged Sydney Royal in 1995 and 2003. He has also judged the Brisbane and<br />

Hobart Royal.<br />

Among the Asian countries he has judged regularly in Japan, Philippines,<br />

Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and of course India.<br />

He has been popular in Sweden and has also judged in Norway. His entry to other<br />

European countries has been more recent. Starting with Hungarian Kennel Club's<br />

100th anniversary show in 2000 he judged in Italy (including Collare d'Oro), and<br />

the Eurodogshow 2003 in Bratislava (Slovakia). Despite invitations he has not been<br />

able to judge in Ireland and UK.<br />

Philip has also been a regular visitor to South Africa and has also judged in<br />

Brazil.Currently he has invitations to judge in Italy (Florence), Sweden (Ronneby),<br />

Denmark(Jutland/Funen), Australia (Hobart Royal in 2005) and S. Africa (Cape<br />

Town in 2007).<br />

He has judged Specialties in Sight Hound, Dachshund, Doberman, Boxer,<br />

Rottweiler, Great Dane, Dalmatian and Tibetan breeds. He is a specialist judge of<br />

GSD in India.<br />

Philip was involved with several breeds. He has bred Doberman, Lhasa<br />

Apso, Beagle, Dachshund (STD Smooth), Miniature Pinscher and GSD. He has kept<br />

and shown Greyhound, Whippet, Afghan Hound, Saluki, Dachshund (Long) and<br />

Caravan Hound (Indian Sight Hound).<br />

Philip John has served on the Kennel Club of India's governing council from<br />

1976 to 2001. He is currently on the Judges Training Committee of India.<br />

Apart from being an expert on Tea he runs courses on human resource<br />

development (HRD).<br />

He is married, has a daughter and a son in the US - both of whom are avid<br />

dog lovers.<br />

CLASSES: All Regular classes, Veterans (competitive and divided by sex), Brace,<br />

Sire & Get and Dam & Progeny. A Parade of Champions and Titleholders and<br />

Veterans is also offered.<br />

FEES: Regular Classes, Veteran: $30.<br />

Non-Regular: Brace, Stud, Dam, $15. (must be entered in a regular class)<br />

Exhibition Only $15. Sweepstakes $15. Listing Fee $9.30<br />
