Acquired his first show dog in the fifties as a boy - a Deerhound bitch, Ch.<br />

Mountebanks Sylvia. Spent summers in England as a teenager working with<br />

dogs and getting his basic dog know-how from the old classic dog people.<br />

Imported and bred some Deerhound litters in the sixties - some champions<br />

still around in the pedigrees from this. Started in Greyhounds with Bo<br />

Bengston in 1966 and was very fortunate that the famous modern<br />

Scandinavian Greyhounds branched out from this.<br />

Judged dogs since 1966 and since the mid-nineties, has been an FCI Allbreeds<br />

Judge. His experience has been gained from most corners of the world<br />

and he has had some very honourable assignments - World <strong>Show</strong>s, Crufts,<br />

Santa Barbara, the Royals in Australia, etc and many great breed specialities.<br />

Mr. Bodegard is an all breed judge and has judged in most European countries<br />

including many times in England. He has judged Crufts and the Royals in<br />

Australia. He has judged many times in New Zealand, Thailand, Israel and<br />

repeatedly in the United States including many breed specialties in Europe, Asia and Australia.<br />

Normally judges around 30 to 40 shows a year. Has a position on the Central Board of the Swedish<br />

Kennel Club.<br />

Dr. Bodegard is president of the Swedish Greyhound Club and sits on the central board of<br />

the Swedish Kennel Club. He is a pediatrician, psychoanalyst, and child psychiatrist, involved in<br />

research and clinical work with seriously ill and disturbed refugee children from former Soviet<br />

republics.<br />

CLASSES: All Regular classes, Veterans (competitive and divided by sex), Brace,<br />

Altered, Brood Bitch and Progeny and Stud <strong>Dog</strong> and Get. Open classes will be<br />

separated: Hairless; Powder Puff.<br />

BABY PUPPY CLASS: A class, divided by sex, is offered for Chinese Crested 3 to 6 months of age.<br />

Each sex will compete prior to the regular class (eg. Baby Puppy Male, then Junior Puppy Male, ...)<br />

The winner of each sex will compete for Best Baby Puppy in Breed and Best of Opposite Baby Puppy<br />

in Specialty between Veteran Females and Best of Breed. Entrants of this class do not compete for<br />

Championship points or for other awards.<br />

THE CHINESE CRESTED CLUB OF BRITISH COLUMBIA offers rosettes and suitable<br />

prizes for Best in Specialty, Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty, Best of Winners, Winners<br />

Male, Winners Female, Reserve Winners Male and Reserve Winners Female, Best<br />

Veteran in Specialty, Best Puppy in Specialty, Best Baby Puppy in Specialty, Best Bred<br />

by Exhibitor, Best Sire and Get, Best Brood Bitch and Progeny, Best Brace, Best Altered<br />

in Specialty, and Award of Merit (at the judges discretion). All prizes must be claimed<br />

at the show.<br />

Fees: Regular Classes, Altered Veteran: $30.<br />

Baby Puppy Class $25. Non-Regular: Brace, Stud, Dam, $15. (must<br />

be entered in a regular class) Exhibition Only $15. Sweepstakes<br />
