SWEEPSTAKES JUDGE: MRS. LESLIE A SMITH-GOULD
19182 Vintage Woods Drive Riverside California 92508
Hello, name is Leslie Gould of Les-Lee’s Chinese Cresteds. I currently reside in
Riverside, Ca. USA with my Chinese Cresteds and a Doberman Pinscher. I have
(1) married daughter Karrie Lee Bick and (3) grandchildren Garrett, Tyler and
Rylee. My kennel name Les-Lee’s is a play on words, as it is the first part of my
name and my daughter’s middle name, but when said…is my first name. I’m
currently employed with Lundgren Management as a Senior Construction
Manager in the K – 12 school system.
I started riding horses in the 1 st grade and showing horses in 6 th grade
and continued on for almost 25 years, before turning to show dogs in 1991. My
first show dogs were Saluki’s. It was shortly there after…I started my love affair
with Chinese Cresteds. I saw them in the ring for the first time shortly after being recognized by
AKC, in April of 1991.
It was in 1992, that I purchased my first Crested Am. Ch. Babylon’s Rhumba for Les-Lee
aka “Squeeker”. Squeeker was the foundation in which I stand today; he left a huge footprint in my
heart, as he left us last summer at the age of 18 years old. I’m now, in what is to be my 19 th year in
Cresteds and oh…what a wonderful ride it has been! My Kennel has produced several multi-country
champions, several of which have won their conformation titles in the USA, from the Bred By
Exhibitor Class; I have bred several group winning, group placing, Regional Specialty winning and (2)
National Specialty BOB winning Chinese Cresteds. 2006 was my first National Specialty BOB winner;
NSBIS/SBIS/BBE BIS Grand Am./Can./Int. Ch. Les-Lee’s No Jacket Required AOM SOM “Phil” and
then again in 2008 winning the National Specialty BOB with Phil’s daughter “Ella” NSBIS Am./Can.
Ch. Les-Lee’s N’Camelot’s Satin Doll AOM.
I look forward judging the Canadian National Chinese Crested Specialty Sweepstakes and
