The water balance for Kinbasket Reservoir is given in Table 2.1. Also given is the<br />

annual water yield from the drainage. The yield is the average annual outflow divided by<br />

the drainage area and represents the average depth of net annual precipitation over the<br />

drainage. The local inflow to Kinbasket Reservoir has about twice the yield as the<br />

<strong>Columbia</strong> <strong>River</strong> above Donald, indicating increased precipitation in the local drainage.<br />
