Acknowledgements
The production of Karibu Kenya would not have been possible without the
inspiration and vital contribution of UNICEF Eastern and Southern Africa
Regional Office, in particular the Human Resources management team of
Veronica Luard, Ben Akpera and Zephorah Weru. Their individual determination,
concept and efforts to facilitate synergies between the different United
Nations agencies at Gigiri, as well as relevant external inputs, were vital to the
production of this guide.
We would also like to commend the close teamwork between the participating
UN agencies, and the high levels of interest and cooperation that
produced the collective wisdom in this guide. It is our hope that your respective
