10 Roy White Cullinan Williams First Edition 2009 HAPPENINGS Foundation’s 1st Annual Central NY Charity Event a Success The Central NY Charity Event was held on September 16&17 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino. Similar to the June Children’s Charity Event, a dinner was held followed by a golf tournament the following day. Former NY Yankee, Roy White, was on hand for both days to share stories about his former teammates. Also on hand was a dynamic speaker, 17 year old Cullinan Williams, who spoke about his life living with diabetes. This first time event raised over $100,000 with proceeds benefiting the Kinney Drugs Foundation and the American Diabetes Association. Harley Davidson Tickets Sold to Raise $ for Foundation Kinney Drugs stores sold $5 tickets to win a Harley Sportster motorcycle throughout the month of September. Over $9000 was raised to benefit the Kinney Drugs Foundation. The motorcycle was donated to the Foundation by a vendor partner to the marketing department. Congratulations to Penny Copeland of Barre, VT who won the Harley! Vermont Softball Tournament Held to Benefit the Foundation In September 2008, a softball tournament was held in Vermont to benefit the Kinney Drugs Foundation. Spearheaded by Bernie Alden, #23 and Kathy Ennis, #56 with lots of help form Norm Robinson, #11, 5 teams participated in this first time event which raised almost $1000! In addition to the actual softball tournament, food was sold and an auction was held. Mr. Alden stated that he received very positive feedback from participants who look forward to taking part in the event again next year. Thank you to Bernie, Kathy, Norm, and all of the volunteers who helped out this year!

Just a Little Halloween Fun Although always busy keeping this customers satisfied and thrilled to come back to their respective stores – these Kinney Drugs employees have a little fun with Halloween. Store workers at #49 in Little Falls, New York; ranged from baseball players to Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz – including the “baby pumpkin”. And then there are the official Kinney Cheerleaders from Store #24 in Pulaski. Looks like all ladies – don’t you guys know that you can be cheerleaders to – we expected to see Pharmacist Mark Palmer in the official cheer get-up. First Edition 2009 11
