56 Hünegg Castle An Ancient Fairytale Castle The castle was built between 1861 and 1863 in the historicist style and then largely renovated in 1900 in the art nouveau style. Today the castle is presented as a well cared for stately home with the original furnishings. Special exhibition 2010: Hilterfingen and Hünibach – in the good old days! All about Gastronomy The Swiss Gastronomy Museum is housed in Schadau Castle, Thun. It contains a unique library and a small exhibition about eating and drinking. Opening times: all year round, Tues, Wed, Thurs in the afternoon from 2–5 pm (closed on public holidays).
