All about Gastronomy<br />

The Swiss Gastronomy Museum is housed in Schadau Castle, Thun. It contains<br />

a unique library and a small exhibition about eating and drinking.<br />

Opening times: all year round, Tues, Wed, Thurs in the afternoon from<br />

2–5 pm (closed on public holidays).<br />

A Look Back at Tourism<br />

The Museum of Tourism presents the history of travel and tourism in the<br />

Jungfrau region. In an entertaining way, the visitor can discover the long<br />

and varied development of tourism in the area over the last 220 <strong>years</strong>.<br />

On the Wichterheer Estate in Oberhofen is an exhibition of valuable items<br />

from private collections as well as from the Museum.<br />

The special exhibition for 2010 is: «The Making of Timepieces in the<br />

Bernese Jura».<br />

Open daily from 9 th May to 24 th October 2010 from 2–5 pm.<br />

Every visitor is guided through the museum.<br />

One of the largest collections of tin figures in Europe provides a crosssection<br />

of world history in 150 scenes starting from the dinosaurs to<br />

Stone Age farmers to current topics. Open from mid April to mid October,<br />

Tuesday to Friday from 2–5 pm. The museum can be opened for<br />

groups outside of the opening hours on request. We would be happy to<br />

provide suggestions for drinks parties in our rooms.<br />
