HAlF DAy CIty tOUR<br />

Half day tour around South America’s most elegant capital,<br />

Buenos Aires. On the way you will see Plaza de Mayo and<br />

the buildings that surround it: Casa Rosada (Government<br />

House), Cabildo Old City Hall, the bustling banking and<br />

business district. Then on to see the monumental Congress<br />

Building and its square and along 9 de Julio Ave., the widest<br />

in the world, the Colon Theatre, the famous Opera House<br />

where the most important artists and musicians from all over<br />

the world perform. You will also visit San Telmo, la Boca, and<br />

its picturesque street “Caminito”, Puerto Madero, Palermo<br />

Park with Jacaranda and Palo borracho trees which flower in<br />

spring and late summer, the polo field and the race track and<br />

the historical Recoleta Cementery with its ornate memorials.<br />

tIGRE & DEltA CRUISE<br />

Drive through the fashionable riverside suburbs of Olivos,<br />

San Isidro, San Fernando to the Tigre district, with its<br />

gracious homes, weeping willows, open air restaurants and<br />

cafes. With its assorted food vendors and soap-box politics,<br />

this is the preferred “playground of the porteños”. Board<br />

the ‘Tren de la Costa’ – the Coastal Train – modern train on<br />

the old suburban railway line which runs along the coast of<br />

the Rio de la Plata towards the delta of the river. All stations<br />

have been renovated, keeping the original buildings built<br />

by the British. Drive then to San Isidro where a stop will be<br />

arranged. Cruise along the waterways and islands of the<br />

delta and past "turn-of-the century" stone mansions, English<br />

cottages, Italian villas, little wooden shacks painted bright<br />

blue and green, ferries, crews practicing in outriggers, lonely<br />

canoeists, rowing and yacht clubs. You will enjoy a cruise<br />

along innumerable channels before returning to town.<br />

CUltURAl tOUR – MUSEUMS<br />

The cultural heritage in Buenos Aires is ever increasing. This<br />

tour is a selection of the best art collections of the city. First<br />

you will go to the institutional centre, the Fine Arts National<br />

Museum. Once you have visited the new and magnificent<br />

museum of Latin American modern and contemporary art<br />

(MALBA, Costantini Collection), you will go to the tiny and<br />

excellent Xul Solar Museum that holds the best works<br />

of some of the most prestigious Argentinean artists.<br />

FUll DAy FIEStA GAUCHA<br />

This tour is the ideal opportunity to absorb the atmosphere<br />

of country life at a really colourful Argentine feast in the<br />

Pampas. Lunch with renowned Argentine beef and live<br />

to folklore music, will make this a memorable day.<br />
