Some customers have asked
us whether virtualization will
work with their software, but
virtualization isn’t software
dependent. All of the software
vendors that serve the corrugated
packaging industry have customers
with virtualized servers. What
does not work for our corrugated

customers is when servers are
dependent on specific hardware
such as cutting tables or machine
center PC’s with cards that interface
with the m<strong>an</strong>ufacturing equipment.
What’s more, because your mission
critical servers c<strong>an</strong> be virtualized,
they c<strong>an</strong> also be protected against
systems failures in ways that are
vastly more cost effective th<strong>an</strong> they
could have just a few years ago.
To sum it up, virtualization
saves you money on computer
hardware <strong>an</strong>d software. Even more
import<strong>an</strong>tly, it provides more
security, flexibility, <strong>an</strong>d exp<strong>an</strong>sion
options th<strong>an</strong> ever before. So it’s
really not a question of why a small
business owner would virtualize.
Rather, the question is why that
owner hasn’t done so yet. �
