California Central Coast Porsche Club Of America July 2008
Favorite 1989 and older, Favorite 1990 and newer, and best of the best, most mileage.
event. We walked around looking
at all the cars and made our selec-
tions, turned in the ballots to Rick and
Rhonda who counted them and then
awarded prizes. A car wash, a $50 gas
card, etc.
There was a raffle whereby each
participant was given a ticket and a
few were selected. Winners got items
such as decorative jars full of candy.
dream).
Marla (bottom of page 6) kept busy
with our Goodie Store. This lady does
a wonderful job of the Goodie Store.
Marla even spent the day at Buttonwil-
low, selling her/our wares to not only
CCCR but GGR and others. Besides, how
can you turn down a cute blond.
The judges for the car show were
the members participating in the BBQ
We toured the grounds and dreamt of our own garages (full of exotic machinery, after all it is a
The day could have been a bit cooler (in my opinion) an relief was not “just around the corner” as the
Central Coast of California was setting records for the hottest temperatures since beginning to record
temperatures in this area in 1947. Los Osos was 110, Diabo Canyon’s front gate in Avila Beach was 115. The
people at the Beach from the valley, came here to get out of the heat and found it higher than from where
they came.
Our thanks for this event goes to Rick and Rhonda) Mareina for chairing this event, Jim and Carlen
Eckford for hosting our group, and the Catering Unlimited.for the great meal.
