California Central Coast Porsche Club Of America July 2008 On June21 near this home located somewhere in a quiet corner of our Central Coast Posche World, is a “Party Barn”. It is among other things, a gearhead’s dream garage. (It could also be a “dog house” if you’er in trouble at home). But on this day in June, CCCR gathered at and in this Barn for the 2008 Members’ BBQ. Free for members joined in the last 12 months and only $10/member for the rest of us. Satuday morning, a bit of sleep, this event, sleep a bit more and work from 3a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun- day).The only two whose names I can remember through my fog, are the Bero brothers Steven and Michael (standing together at the right of the group. The car is one of the cars owned by our hosts, Jim and Carlen Eckford, whose “party barn” we occupied this day. This event, chaired by Activities Director, Rick Mareina had a few twists, including a low key car show, where prizes were given for some off-beat catagories. Catagories like, “dirtiest”, It gave new members a time to be recognized and interface with other members of CCCR. That said, I’ve committed the cardinal sin of not knowing the names of all these new members as I should. If you’d like to help in this regard, I’ll pub- lish this pic again next month WITH their names. Worst part is I believe I met all the new members in this picture. I guess there were too many hours working this weekend (until 3 a.m.).
