Events Calendar
June 21st:
Our Junefest Motorama was a
huge success. The food was great and
we had a good turnout. It was rather
hot but not as hot as it had been earlier
in the week. The Eckfords were gracious host letting
us explore their beautiful property and the barn. The
car show was alot of fun and everyone seemed to
enjoy being a judge. The results were: Per took the
honor of having the dirtiest car and for that received
a $30 gift certificate from Magnum Mobile detailing
to have his car washed. The highest milage award
went to yours truly, 201,000 miles ( far and away the
most on the day) and I received a $60 gift certificate
from Strasse and Guys automotive for parts or ser-
vice. Thanks to them and Magnum for donating
to the club. The lowest milage award went to Keith
and Toni Williams, 14,000 miles and they received a
$50 gas card from costco. The best car 1989 or older
went Lee and Gail Wilson for their beautiful 1978 911
turbo which was just stunning and all original. They
received a year subcription to Excellence magazine.
The best car 1990 or newer went to Keven Nicols
with his red GT3, he also got a subcription to Excel-
lence. The best of the best award went to Graig and
Cathy Smith for their 1961 Carrera GT. This car wins
awards everywhere it goes, people just love it. It was
also a treat to have a new Carrera GT and the old.
They have come along way. They received a 2 year
subcription to Excellence. As you can see we had
some great prizes. I’m hoping to make this a yearly
event so if you missed this year, you really missed
out. Theres always next year.
