2) 2007 I finished my university and start working in Seatrade
3) Sierra Laurel is my favourite vessel, because she is not big
and comfortable. The crew on board of this vessel is just like
a big family
4) To tell the truth, I like my salary and months of vacation
5) Bridgetown (Barbados), because I think it is the most
beautiful city in the whole world. Beaches of the city full of
white sand and seawater is so clear that you can see corals
on the sea bottom through 20 m of depth
6) I have no experience with extraordinary, but discharging
in Congo was very funny. During discharging of 40 new
Nissan Pathfinder vehicles, stevedores managed to damage
15 of those
7) Don’t give up in any situation. Just do your job well. And
never forget SAFETY FIRST.

1) I come from Plastun village. It is located near the sea in
Russian Far East and it is a reason for tourists to come
in summer time. Seawater is warm and very clean and
availability of different kinds of seafood
2) I started my seaman career in Seatrade company at 2007 as
engine cadet
3) Baltic Klipper is my favourite ship, because it is most
modern on my practice
4) Unmanned Engine room, I think
5) Port of my home, because best place in the world is your
home, where somebody loves you…
6) Yes, in my previous contract, when we discharged cargo
in Algeria, one of the stevedores dropped a cigarette in the
cool room floor. After that we activated the CO2 system,
because smoke was already in several decks of the cargo
hold

Randy L. Antiquena, Electrician
1) I come from Duenas, one of the central towns of Iloilo, a
province in the western part of the Philippines on Panay
Island. Iloilo is well known of its Fanoy and beautiful
passenger jeepneys, energy Pinaguang festival, a special
noodle soup called La-paz Batchoy and intensified mobile
sound systems
2) I started sailing in 2006 and I started sailing on Seatrade
vessels in 2009
3) My favourite Seatrade vessel is Cold Stream, despite the
vessel getting older and challenging. The crew still manages
to smile and able to cope with problems encountered thanks
to the support of the company
4) I like my job, very challenging, requires a lot of safety
precautions from the beginning until the final approach of
the process
5) My favorite port is Philadelphia, when I joined my first
Seatrade vessel and it was my first step in the land of super
powers
6) Yes I experienced bad weather, rough sea, sometimes
freezing and cold outside and I have to repair troubled
reefer containers
7) Know your job, love it like you love yourself. Be proud of it.
Face the challenge. Never forget to pray and give thanks to
the Lord. Don’t loose hope, always keep in mind the saying:
“Behind the dark cloud the sun is still shining”.

1) I come from Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines; a resident
of this small island of Bohol. As of now we can see a lot of
tourists spots in this place thanks to its white beaches, old
churches, the famous chocolate hills, Sagbayan peak. The
people are hospitable and religious
2) My career started as a seaman in 2007 on NYK vessels and
I started sailing on board Seatrade managed vessels in 2009
on mv Antilla
3) Now my favourite Seatrade vessel is mv Baltic Klipper
because we’re the pioneers or first batch crew
4) It is interesting and challenging
5) Mahe, Seychelles, because it is also like my place: a small
island full of tourists spots, a peaceful country, industrious
people and simple living
