R.4.4 Enhance or transform courses for specialist music teachers<br />

(including instrumental and vocal music teachers) to ensure that<br />

students develop and demonstrate contemporary approaches to<br />

knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to the needs <strong>of</strong><br />

specific groups <strong>of</strong> students<br />

R.4.5 Provide conversion or bridging courses (in response to<br />

identified needs) to capitalise on existing musical knowledge<br />

and skills while also addressing the need for contemporary<br />

approaches to music education in schools<br />

R.4.6 <strong>Music</strong> conservatories and schools <strong>of</strong> music enhance or<br />

transform music courses to ensure that performance-based<br />

music courses include aspects <strong>of</strong> teaching music using<br />
