2.8.2 New <strong>Services</strong>: New services include<br />

Infrastructure, Business Process Outsourcing<br />

(BPO), Engineering, Global Consulting Practice<br />

(GCP) and Asset Leveraged services. The rate<br />

of growth of the new <strong>Services</strong> is faster than<br />

growth in traditional IT <strong>Services</strong>. Details of TCS’<br />

performance in these services are discussed<br />

2.8.2.1 IT Infrastructure <strong>Services</strong> (IT IS): This unit<br />

provides end-to-end IT Infrastructure <strong>Services</strong>,<br />

which offers customers cost effective business<br />

transformation solutions. The Unit provides<br />

services which are ‘Application Driven’ thereby<br />

ensuring an Infrastructure eco-system which is<br />

available, scalable, flexible and adaptable.<br />

Over the last four years the unit has been<br />

growing at a CAGR of 46%. During this financial<br />

year the unit bagged new deals in business<br />

transformation solutions, new delivery models,<br />

RIM (Remote Infrastructure Management) and<br />

end-to-end infrastructure services.<br />

2.8.2.2 Business Process Outsourcing (BPO): TCS<br />

BPO is now ranked amongst the top 2 BPO<br />

providers in India. TCS BPO offers value added<br />

transaction processing services to its customers<br />

in industry verticals such as Banking and<br />

Financial <strong>Services</strong>, Insurance, Telecom, Life<br />

Sciences and Healthcare, Energy and Utilities,<br />

Travel, Transportation and Hospitality and<br />

Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods, while<br />

Knowledge-based services are focused on areas<br />

such as biostatistics, customer insights, risk<br />

analytics and predictive analytics.<br />
