Due to its focus on domain-intensive transaction<br />
processing services and knowledge services,<br />
as well as its high quality delivery, TCS BPO is<br />
forging newer customer relationships every<br />
quarter while strengthening its long-standing<br />
ties with key customers.<br />
TCS’ proprietary GNDM TM (Global Network<br />
Delivery Model TM ) has been effectively<br />
leveraged by TCS BPO <strong>Services</strong>, to facilitate<br />
a near-shore delivery for many of its global<br />
customers. During the financial year, the<br />
company continued to invest in scaling up its<br />
operations and delivering BPO <strong>Services</strong> from<br />
Cincinnati (Ohio) and Midland (Michigan)<br />
in USA, Guadalajara (Mexico), Montevideo<br />
(Uruguay) and Santiago (Chile) in Latin<br />
America, Hungary and UK in Europe, China and<br />
also from its established sites in India.<br />

2.8.2.3 Engineering and Industrial <strong>Services</strong> (EIS):<br />
The EIS business is an integral element of<br />
TCS’ strategy to provide full services across<br />
the engineering, product development and<br />
R&D value stream of companies across all the<br />
industry verticals. The EIS portfolio provides a<br />
wide range of solutions catering to individual<br />
customer needs focusing on New Product<br />
Development Solutions, Product Lifecycle<br />
Management Solutions, Plant Solutions &<br />
<strong>Services</strong> and Geospatial Solutions.<br />
This vertical was impacted during the overall<br />
macroeconomic and manufacturing industry<br />
slow down and has since shown signs of<br />
recovery.<br />

2.8.2.4 Global Consulting Practice: The Global<br />
Consulting Practice (GCP) uses consulting and<br />
IT services capabilities to bring continuity<br />
and consistency to strategic programs and<br />
help organisations manage current business<br />
requirements, while preparing for the future.<br />
It is a key component of the Company’s full<br />
services strategy to deliver greater value to<br />
clients. Our consulting-led, integrated portfolio<br />
of IT and IT-enabled services is designed to help<br />
organizations increase alignment between<br />
Business Operations and IT.<br />
Building on TCS’ delivery excellence and<br />
proven technology expertise, GCP leverages<br />
TCS’ industry insight and consulting knowhow<br />
gained over the last 40 years to deliver trusted<br />
advice to client organisations globally.<br />
GCP is instrumental in positioning TCS as<br />
a business advisor. It allows us to develop<br />
closer, broad based relationships with leading<br />
organizations, as they strive to optimize and<br />
transform their businesses using technology.<br />
