Success would not have been possible without the
commitment and hard work of our competent,
highly motivated employees. “People make the
difference.” And we have made this one of our
core values for good reason. We are convinced that
people really do make the crucial difference. Our
organization is shaped by people – in all positions,
departments and countries – who strive with passion
to achieve our common goal. We wish to take this
opportunity to thank each and every one of them.
Our corporate identity and culture are embodied in
our Eckes-Granini Purpose, which was defi ned and
articulated for the entire Group in 2008. We know
that our Purpose makes an essential contribution to
the realization of our corporate goals, and provides
the framework for future action.
We look ahead with confi dence to the year 2009.
Although we are well aware that we will be opera ting
in a very diffi cult business environment and
that short-term setbacks may occur, we also know
that we are well prepared for the challenges to
come. The sustainable basis we have achieved in all
areas of our business will remain the key to our
success over time.
