Blanket Sett<strong>in</strong>gs – <strong>Coat<strong>in</strong>g</strong> Blanket Options<br />

● Blanket Height (H) – The height of the blanket, not count<strong>in</strong>g bars (if used)<br />

● Blanket Width (W) – The width of the blanket<br />

● Front Bar Width (FBAR) – The size of the front mount<strong>in</strong>g bar, if it is applied to the<br />

blanket<br />

● Back bar Width (BBAR) – The size of the back mount<strong>in</strong>g bar, if it is applied to the<br />

blanket<br />

● Vertical Offset from Manufactures Reference Po<strong>in</strong>t (VERT) – This is an<br />

additional offset factor used to push the image ‘back’ the sheet to align with the pr<strong>in</strong>t<br />

sett<strong>in</strong>gs on the press.<br />

● Th<strong>in</strong> Areas (THIN) – How small of an area on the blanket is allowed to be <strong>and</strong> still<br />

be cut out. If it is below this factor, it is not cut out.<br />

● Extra Offset (KERF) – This is an additional offset applied to the cells <strong>in</strong> the blanket.<br />

● Press Draw Factor (DRAW) – The factor to shr<strong>in</strong>k the image uniformly to<br />

accommodate the fact that you are pr<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g a flat image on a cyl<strong>in</strong>der<br />

● Strip Width (STRIPW) – The width of the strips that are cut if us<strong>in</strong>g the Cut <strong>Coat<strong>in</strong>g</strong><br />

Areas option.
