Online Pre-Registration
Pre-registration on our website www.cirse.org
will be accepted until August 20 th , 2006. If you
would like to register after August 20 th , please
do so at the registration desk at the Palazzo
dei Congressi (please refer to opening hours
below).
Onsite Registration
The registration desks are located next to the
main entrance in the foyer of the conference
centre.

Onsite Check-in Procedures
Delegates must check in personally at their
respective registration desk at the main
entrance. There will be an express lane for preregistered
delegates who are already in possession
of their badges. Participants who have
not received their badges when leaving their
home country are requested to bring their letter
of confirmation or a copy of the invoice.
Badges
After successful registration and payment,
your personal congress badge and further
information will be sent to the address indicated
on your online registration form (registrations
received and paid by August 10 th ). All
participants registered after August 10 th will
receive their badges at the registration desk.
The personalised badge is your admission card
to the congress. For organisational and security
reasons, badges will have to be worn at the
congress venue at all times. A lanyard will be
given to you with the congress bag. Identity
checks in the congress centre may occur at
any time.
In case of loss, a replacement badge will be
provided for an administrative charge of € 50.
Transportation in Rome
Rome has an extensive integrated public
transport system, which includes buses, an
underground system, trams and a suburban
train network. There are two underground
lines; A and B. Line A runs east to west from
Battistini to Anagnina and stops at many
touristic sites such as the Vatican, Piazza di
Spagna, Piazza Barberini and Piazza del
Popolo.

General Information
Line B runs northeast to southwest from
Rebibbia to Laurentina. It stops at sites such as
the Coliseum, Circus Maximus, St. Paul's
Basilica and Eur Fermi (the stop closest to
Palazzo dei Congressi). Line B connects Rome's
three main railroad stations: Stazione
Tiburtina, Stazione Termini and Stazione
Ostiense. Both lines intersect at Stazione
Termini. The underground runs from 5.30 am
to 11.30 pm from Sunday to Friday and until
00.30 am on Saturday. From midnight until
6 am, there are special night line buses which
cover different areas of the city and run
approximately every 20 minutes.
Please note the following changes due to construction
work on underground Line A: the
service ends at 9 pm. From 9 pm to 11:30 pm
(on Saturdays from 9 pm to 00:30 am) a bus
service operates between the following stops:
- Bus MA1 Battistini to Arco di Travertino
- Bus MA2 Washington to Anagnina
The main radio-taxi network telephone numbers
are: 063570, 0688177, 064994, 066645
and 064157. The operators will provide you
with an identification code that will allow you
to recognise your taxi.
CIRSE Shuttle Bus Service
Most of the official CIRSE 2006 hotels are conveniently
located in the heart of the city, most
of them being approximately 20 minutes from
the congress centre by taxi. In addition to the
possibility of using the underground, shuttle
bus lines will connect four pick up points near
the hotels to the congress centre in the morning
and evening hours. Furthermore, a shuttle
bus will commute between the congress centre,
the Sheraton and the nearby underground
station throughout the day.
