Foundation Courses
Foundation courses will cover a specific area of Interventional
Radiology, focusing on basic principles and illustrating the procedure
in a step-by-step fashion. The foundation courses are
designed for radiologists in training, new consultants and/or
experienced consultants who require a refresher course on the
subject.

Special Session
CIRSE meets India
The "CIRSE meets" session is an excellent opportunity for
European radiologists to experience Interventional Radiology
in disease processes with which they may not be familiar. It is
also a great opportunity to forge links with the Interventional
Radiology community in countries outside of Europe. The invited
country presents different topics introduced by experts in
the relevant areas in a one hour session.

Film Interpretation Panel
The film interpretation panel will consist of two teams, who will
compete against each other. The teams will be given cases to
diagnose and suggest treatment. One of the principle aims of
the film panel is to demonstrate the approach an expert takes
towards the solution of a diagnostic/therapeutic problem. This
will be undertaken in an entertaining fashion and is not to be
missed. The process will be a team effort.

Morbidity and Mortality Conference
The Morbidity and Mortality Conference will analyse
Interventional Radiology cases that lead to complications
and/or deaths that could have been avoided. This session provides
a valuable learning experience for everyone involved in
Interventional Radiology.

Interactive Cases Discussion Forum
The Interactive Cases Discussion Forums are divided into interactive
case discussions on vascular cases, non-vascular cases
and cases in which complications occurred. Two presenters will
show individual cases and engage the audience's opinion on
treatment. These case sessions are designed to be interactive
and to impart a learning experience on how to work up difficult
cases, approach difficult cases or deal with complications
that may arise.

Interactive Case Session: Basic Vascular
Diagnosis
This session is designed to impart knowledge on vascular diagnosis
at conventional angiography, MRA or CTA. It is designed
for residents, fellows and/or junior consultants. The format
consists of a presenter who will present cases to the audience
and seek audience participation in diagnosis.

Good Clinical Research Awareness Programme
This programme consisting of several sessions throughout the
congress is designed to teach the importance of proper
research and documentation as well as the possibilities and
consequences of FDA and EMEA inspections, among many
other things.
