Foundation Courses<br />
Foundation courses will cover a specific area of Interventional<br />
Radiology, focusing on basic principles and illustrating the procedure<br />
in a step-by-step fashion. The foundation courses are<br />
designed for radiologists in training, new consultants and/or<br />
experienced consultants who require a refresher course on the<br />
subject.<br />

Special Session<br />
<strong>CIRSE</strong> meets India<br />
The "<strong>CIRSE</strong> meets" session is an excellent opportunity for<br />
European radiologists to experience Interventional Radiology<br />
in disease processes with which they may not be familiar. It is<br />
also a great opportunity to f<strong>org</strong>e links with the Interventional<br />
Radiology community in countries outside of Europe. The invited<br />
country presents different topics introduced by experts in<br />
the relevant areas in a one hour session.<br />

Film Interpretation Panel<br />
The film interpretation panel will consist of two teams, who will<br />
compete against each other. The teams will be given cases to<br />
diagnose and suggest treatment. One of the principle aims of<br />
the film panel is to demonstrate the approach an expert takes<br />
towards the solution of a diagnostic/therapeutic problem. This<br />
will be undertaken in an entertaining fashion and is not to be<br />
missed. The process will be a team effort.<br />

Morbidity and Mortality Conference<br />
The Morbidity and Mortality Conference will analyse<br />
Interventional Radiology cases that lead to complications<br />
and/or deaths that could have been avoided. This session provides<br />

Interactive Cases Discussion Forum<br />
The Interactive Cases Discussion Forums are divided into interactive<br />
case discussions on vascular cases, non-vascular cases<br />
and cases in which complications occurred. Two presenters will<br />
show individual cases and engage the audience's opinion on<br />
treatment. These case sessions are designed to be interactive<br />
and to impart a learning experience on how to work up difficult<br />
cases, approach difficult cases or deal with complications<br />
that may arise.<br />

consists of a presenter who will present cases to the audience<br />
and seek audience participation in diagnosis.<br />
