Edith and
Carl Lindner
Choice Food
Pantry
It looks like a miniature grocery store with
its metal shelves, grocery carts and brown
paper bags, but it’s much more. The Edyth
and Carl Lindner Choice Food Pantry is where
a father, just laid off, has found a way feed his
family right now. It is where a woman on a fixed income receives enough food to last
the rest of the week. It is a place where neighbors meet with neighbors; where only a
name badge separates volunteers from those in need; a place where hope begins.
Along with the Edyth and Carl Lindner
Choice Food Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul oper-
ates 6 parish-based food pantries and many
food closets to feed the hungry in virtually
every corner of Cincinnati and Hamilton
County. In 2008, over 50,000 people received
not just a bag of groceries, but the strength to
continue on through a tough situation.
“I’m so blessed. The help saved my life. To my friends
at St. Vincent de Paul, thanks so very much.”
