Jewels in <strong>the</strong> Night - Patient Care Gala 2007<br />
More than 500 people attended <strong>the</strong> Foundation’s<br />
annual Gala 2007, held January 13 at <strong>the</strong> Albany Marriott<br />
— and helped raise more than $134,000 for Samaritan<br />
and Albany Memorial Hospitals.<br />
The Foundation honored Isidro M. Bulatao, MD<br />
(Albany Memorial), David C. Coletti, MD (Samaritan),<br />
J. Barker Houle (Samaritan), and M. Bernadette<br />
Mayersohn (Albany Memorial).<br />
Each hospital will receive an<br />
equal share of <strong>the</strong> event’s proceeds.<br />

Samaritan Hospital plans to use its portion to sup-<br />
port <strong>the</strong> new comprehensive cancer treatment center.<br />
Albany Memorial Hospital will use its share to renovate<br />
and expand <strong>the</strong> emergency department to accommodate<br />
a rapidly growing patient volume. The AMH emergency<br />
room is also being transformed into <strong>the</strong> hospital’s new<br />
front entrance for inpatient stays and subsequent<br />
outpatient visits.<br />
