Still-Pipe Gauge RTG 3940<br />
The Still-Pipe Gauge RTG 3940 is used on tanks<br />
with still-pipes and with all products suitable for<br />
still-pipes such as crude oil, gasoline etc. It<br />
transmits radar waves from a cone shaped antenna<br />
towards the liquid surface inside the pipe. The stillpipe<br />
can be mounted in a tank with an external or<br />
internal floating roof or on a fixed roof tank.<br />
To get custody transfer accuracy the gauge uses a<br />
unique patented Low Loss Mode to transmit the<br />
radar waves in the center of the pipe. This virtually<br />
eliminates degradation of the accuracy due to rust<br />
and product deposits inside the pipe. The Low Loss<br />
Mode accuracy has been tested by custody transfer<br />
authorities in rusty and deposit coated still-pipes.<br />
The Still-Pipe Gauge can be mounted on existing<br />
still-pipes. Standard antenna cones and flanges are<br />
available for 5-, 6-, 8-, 10- and 12-inch pipes.The<br />
flanges are made with or without pressure sealing.<br />
The Waveguide Connection can be removed for<br />
taking product samples or for hand dipping<br />
through a Ø110 mm (4.33 inch) opening.<br />
Installation is normally made without taking the<br />
tank out of operation.<br />
