LEE, David John, SoM,
Since June 2001, consultancy
project for fast-food operator,
then attended Nortec College at
Banbury for ECDL computing
course, followed by advanced
and expert course on Excel and
Powerpoint. Developed/produced
business plans for a holiday
ownership concept and a singles
‘events’ club. Provided support
and financial analysis in
developing a concept for a
recruitment-industry start-up.
Recently launched self as ‘voiceover’
artist ‘Oxford Voice’.
TWEEDALE, Andrew Guy, CoA
Worked for a consultancy on life
support systems for the international
space station, and g-suit/
helmets for the Eurofighter.
Moved into computing, first
hardware with Toshiba and TDK,
then software with Visio (later
Microsoft) as European Product
Marketing Manager. Is now with
Extensity as General Manager of
EMEA. Married with four children
aged 2 to 11. Would like to
know what his contemporaries
are up to!

2002. Is a Management
Consultant qualified as a Fellow
Chartered Accountant (India) and
MBA (Cranfield). Book published
in1988 while at Cranfield.
Has conducted assignments in 11
different countries, written articles
and delivered seminars in
finance, information systems,
marketing for service businesses
and internal auditing in India,
Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Liberia and
Ghana.

Currently on assignment at
Kuwait Airways with the Airbus
Field Service Unit.

Awarded PhD at University of
Queensland in 2000 in Dept of
Geographical Sciences and
Planning on ‘The use of remote
sensing in monitoring human
induced change in Botswana’.
Now a Principal Investigator for
a three-year GEF-funded project
on the impacts of climate change
in the Limpopo Basin of Eastern
Botswana. Has two children.

Spent seven years in manufacturing
- production planning/control
and operations management -
then several years in IT project
management at BA before
becoming a business continuity
consultant with Guardian IT.
Now a managing consultant.
Obtained distance learning MBA
from Reading University.
Married Ruth in 1991 and has
son (James, 1996) and daughter
(Stephanie, 1998). Settled in
Wokingham.

Joined Hewlett-Packard (Bristol)
UK in 1989. Relocated to
Hewlett-Packard USA in 1991.
Joined CoCreate Inc in 1997 and
then PlanetCAD Inc in 2001.

GILLIGAN, Mark, Shrivenham
Recently started business with a
team of engineers and scientists
to develop instruments exploiting
micro-reaction technologies to
accelerate the rate at which drugs
can be developed. Previously
worked in new ventures, acquiring
companies world-wide in the
biotech arena on behalf of a
multi-national company.

Has left the RAF and is now with
the police force in Nottinghamshire.

Six years with Airbus, now with
Ansett Worldwide, one of the
world’s largest aircraft leasing
companies with portfolio of more
than 170 aircraft. Based in
Sydney, Australia; responsible for
sales and marketing in the Asia-
Pacific region.

Just moved to Wiltshire after a
year’s sabbatical as Centre
Director in Shropshire at a
Christian Outdoor Pursuits and
Conference Centre. Says: “It
was a rewarding experience
working for a charity, but also
seeing so many parallels to the
problems found working in the
commercial world.” He and
Caroline have Francis, aged 3,
and Caitlin, aged 18 months, to
keep them occupied/challenged.
“The work-life balance is always
difficult, as I’m sure most people
find.”
