1.5 Streaming data versus normal IT traffic<br />

While working within <strong>Digital</strong> <strong>Media</strong> environments we have to differentiate<br />

between two different types of data h<strong>and</strong>ling regarding the response time:<br />

► Best ef<strong>for</strong>t - the common used method in the in<strong>for</strong>mation technology (IT).<br />

Depending on the actual load of the target device, the response time may<br />

vary. Good examples are database response times, file copy, etc.<br />
