Australia is at MIDEM to do business and the companies and individuals
represented provide an exciting mix of veterans and first-timers all looking to
make the most of the networking opportunities and to develop relationships with
potential international partners.
This booklet provides an overview of the Australian delegates at Midem 2011, their
contact details and more importantly what they are looking to export/import.
Only two years since its inception, SOUNDS AUSTRALIA has established itself as
Australia’s recognized national export initiative, devised to deliver a cohesive and
unified platform at international showcase market events, supported through a
financial partnership between both Federal and State governments, along with
peak music industry bodies.
SOUNDS AUSTRALIA is committed to providing the best possible environment
for Australian music businesses to expose their own unique selling points to their
chosen export markets and for the attending delegates to be offered value-add
networking opportunities in order to stimulate negotiations and real business
outcomes, allowing them to meet their respective international objectives and
advance their careers.
SOUNDS AUSTRALIA aims to raise the profile and visibility of the Australian
contemporary music sector within key international music markets, by
centralising efforts through the financial investment from the following partners;
APRA|AMCOS, The Australia Council for the Arts, PPCA, AMIN, VicRocks, Trade
Queensland and AMPAL.
SOUNDS AUSTRALIA plans to support Australia’s presence at key music markets
whilst simultaneously putting Australia’s musical talents on the world map and
promoting the nation as a truly creative cultural hub.
In 2011 we’d like to welcome on board for the first time Nightlife Music, who will be
on hand to display audio and video content from each of the exhibiting Australian
companies through their own unique homegrown technology system. Come and
visit us at Stand R35.08 to see for yourselves!
We hope you have a productive and enjoyable conference and look forward to
meeting as many of you as possible.
