There is something in The Sunpilots’ music that grabs you and makes you sit up and say, “Hey, these guys have a message and they sure know how to put it forward.” – The Dwarf, Australia Armed with their stunning new concept album “King of the Sugarcoated Tongues”, Aussie progressive rock band The Sunpilots will be based in Berlin for 2011. Since the release of their debut album in 2008, The Sunpilots have won Best International Artist at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, Single of the Year at the LA Independent Music Awards, a MusicOz Producers Award and Radio Australia’s ‘New Artists 2 Radio’ (NA2R). The Sunpilots have also had a #1 most added song on Australian radio, music video airplay on Video Hits (VH) and Channel V, been a Myspace “Featured Artist”, had 2 iTunes “Singles of the Week” and an “Indie Album of the Year” award from music press. After 4 national tours, the band completed its first European tour in late 2010 to overwhelming responses. Now based in Europe for another 12 months, The Sunpilots are searching for European booking partners and for distribution and sub-publishing for the new record.
