HALEAKALA CRATER & THE MAUI OCEAN CENTER OGG-002<br />

Travel to the top of the world and the depths of the sea on this scenic journey. You’ll travel to the top of Haleakala Crater, the world’s<br />

largest dormant volcano, with a vast crater that measures over seven miles long and over two miles wide. This volcano last erupted in<br />

1790 and is a wonder by virtue of its size alone, as well as the highest point on Maui. The views from the top, at 10,032 feet above sea<br />

level, are magnificent. From the rim, you'll be able to appreciate firsthand the unique beauty of this massive crater with its interesting mix<br />

of volcanic rock and plant life, some found only in Hawai‘i’s craters. Then visit the new Maui Ocean Center. Discover the mysterious world<br />

that lies hidden below the surface of Hawai‘i’s oceans. At the center, you’ll experience the spectacular Underwater Journey, a close-up<br />

look at some of the beautiful and unique creatures only found in the waters of Hawai‘i.<br />

Note: We recommend you bring a sweater as temperatures range between 40-65 degrees Fahrenheit at the crater’s top. Short stops will be made during the<br />

bus ride to and from the Haleakala National Park. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Time is allowed within tour duration for an on your own lunch at the<br />

Maui Ocean Center.<br />

BEST <strong>OF</strong> WEST MAUI OGG-006<br />

Combine all the highlights of West Maui on this comprehensive excursion: Iao Valley, Maui Tropical Plantation, and Maui Ocean Center.<br />

You’ll start with a visit to the most well-known and beautiful gorge on the Valley Island, the Iao Valley. There you’ll visit one of Maui’s<br />

most striking sights, the Iao Needle, a 2,250-foot cinder cone pinnacle that pierces the clouds and dominates its lush surroundings. Next<br />

stop is the Maui Tropical Plantation, where you’ll enjoy a fully narrated 40-minute tram tour through macadamia nut orchards, agricultural<br />

villages, sugar cane fields and flower gardens followed by a delicious lunch. Then at the Maui Ocean Center, experience the Underwater<br />

Journey, that gives you a close-up look at some of the beautiful creatures only found in Hawai‘i’s waters.<br />

THE MAUI OCEAN CENTER & IAO VALLEY OGG-004<br />

Combine the impressive natural beauty of Iao Valley State Park with the visit to the new Maui Ocean Center, where you’ll discover the<br />

mysterious world that lies hidden below the surface of Hawai‘i’s oceans. At the Maui Ocean Center, you’ll experience the spectacular<br />

Underwater Journey, a close-up look at some of the beautiful and unique creatures only found in the waters of Hawai‘i. This first-hand<br />

look at life in the open ocean features a walk through a 54-foot tunnel stretching through a three-quarter-million gallon tank filled with<br />

sharks and tropical fish of every shape and size. Then it’s on to the most well-known and beautiful valley gorge on the Valley Island, the<br />

Iao Valley. In antiquity, the people of Hawai‘i called this place ‘Supreme Light’ and considered it sacred. You will visit one of Maui’s most<br />

defining sights, the Iao Needle, a 2,250-foot cinder cone pinnacle that pierces the clouds and dominates its lush surroundings.<br />

LAHAINA ON YOUR OWN OGG-005<br />

For the most convenient and cost efficient way to travel to Lahaina, the quaint town on the shores of West Maui, use this round-trip<br />

motorcoach service. You will ride in comfort for approximately 45 minutes each way, enjoying views of the spectacular West Maui<br />

Mountains and the tranquil coastline. Your motorcoach will make two stops, at Hilo Hatties and at the flagpole next to the Lahaina Wharf.<br />

Dozens of boutiques, shops, restaurants and historical sites will all be in easy walking distance from either location.<br />

Note: Also check onboard at the Shore Excursion Desk as some tours may also combine with “Lahaina on your Own” giving you time in Lahaina in<br />

combination with another tour. Upgrades for this can be made onboard the vessel.<br />
