By this letter we would like to express our support to the Bugday Association for Supporting<br />
Ecological Living for the organisation of the <strong>18th</strong> Congress of <strong>IFOAM</strong> and the General Board<br />
Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey.<br />
The Bugday Association for Supporting Ecological Living is a non-governmental organisation that<br />
has undertaken important activities for almost 20 years towards the development and extension of<br />
the organic agriculture movement in Turkey. Turkey, because of its geographical characteristics,<br />
its long history on rural culture and its traditional agricultural practices holds an important and<br />
special role in the area of agriculture. The place of organic agriculture in Turkey is increasingly<br />
growing and presents many opportunities to the world in terms scientific experience, production<br />
and enhancement of civil or producers initiatives for the success of the organic agriculture<br />
movement.<br />
We firmly believe that the organisation of this outstanding event in Istanbul will create an important<br />
synergy for the organic agriculture movement both in Turkey and the region.<br />
