The financial industry is faced with an increased number of compliance
requirements and is obliged to produce an increasing number of reports, risk
calculations and to calculate performance with very tight margins, leaving
little or no allowance to wrongly calculated results.
� You would like to know anytime if the data basis is ready to run a
specific calculation, e.g. a portfolio performance, market risk stress
testing, credit risk calculation or a compliance report.
� From experience you are aware of a weaknes in the underlying data
delivery process. E.g. sometimes the cash account is missing for a
portfolio or sometimes the position information is assigned to a wrong
portfolio leaving the right portfolio without position information. You want

The solution
IPC, the Incentage Process Cockpit, has the flexibility to monitor data quality
and control any data load processes. It monitors business processes,
information flows or systems of an infrastructure, including in-house
developed systems, package solutions and industry applications.
Users are informed instantly and continuously of the quality and
completeness of freely configurable events. Business partners can be
assessed by the quality of their processes, including their straight-throughprocessing
capability. Infrastructure components can be analysed for their
availability and quality.
IPC contains a Lookup Table Editor, a web based interface to manage
checklists and inventories for data quality checks. Based on this capability
there is no need for a data management application. Which elements are
visible and which elements are editable is freely configurable. User
permissions ensure controlled entry and maintenance of the data.
If a missing data source is detected, the user can trigger a service request in
IPC that requests delivery of a new data set from a specific source. This
functionality is flexible and can be adapted to the capabilities of the specific
data provider.
The IPC underlying technology consists of IMS, the Incentage Middleware
Suite, that has a rich set of data processing functionality. Depending on the
setup, IPC is a pure meta layer separated from the operational data flows. If
preferred, it can be configured in such a way that some aspects become
part of the operational data flow leading into new areas of possibilities. This
way, it becomes possible to auto-correct repeating data quality issues, e.g.
to detect a missing ISIN in a description of the security and to look it up in an
inventory, improving the data quality by enriching it based on rules in IMS.
