Chris Purkiss Honored
GLENDORA — At the Spring
Scholarship luncheon and fashion
show held on April 8, by the
Foothill Presbyterian Hospital
Auxiliary, Chris Purkiss was honored
with the annual Exceptional
Service Award. An Auxiliary
member since January 2000,
Chris has served as President,
Home Tour Chairman and Co-
Chairman for the Scholarship luncheon
and fashion show for several
years. She is, with husband
Wes, owner of Hill Top Real Estate
in Glendora. She counts
loves of animals, gardening, traveling,
shopping and entertaining
as avid interests. Chris will be an
integral part of the FPH "Friends
for Life" campaign to raise funds
for the Art and Sarah Ludwig
Cub Scouts Visit Examiner

visited the Examiner to see how newspapers are created and
printed.

Red Hat Honeys Name Queen
Glendora's Red Hat Honeys lunch group recently met and there
was a "changing of the guard". Ida Fracasse stepped down as
"Queen", transferring her title to Penni Reilley.
Seated are: Beverly Levreau, Jan Povenmire, Stella Hoffman,
Reilley and Rita Scott.
Standing are Ida Fracasse, Beverly Miller, Marty Hodge Riley, Linda
Herman, Linda Price and Rexine Moore.
Not present were Gwen Paine and Pat Overstreet.

Mt. SAC Dance Spring Concert
WALNUT — Mt. San Antonio
College Dance students will
perform a variety of dance styles
at their Annual Spring Dance
Concert on Friday, Saturday and
Sunday, April 28-30, at the
College's Sophia Clarke Theater.
The Spring Dance Concert performances
feature choreography
by Mt. SAC dance professors
and students. Performance times
are 8 p.m. with a special 3 p.m.
performance on Sunday, April
30.
