What Is the <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> REST Interface?<br />
The <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> REST Interface is a web RESTfull interface for quickly accessing the <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> <strong>Service</strong><br />
from within your web applications. The <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> <strong>Service</strong> generates tiles that can be combined to form<br />
larger map images. These tiles can be cached by the service or by other web caching solutions to reduce<br />
the waiting times as users view, pan, and zoom Envinsa maps.<br />
The <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> <strong>Service</strong> provides functionality for clients to determine the maps that are available, the<br />
ability to query the metadata of each map, and return a map comprised of tiles.<br />
REST URL<br />
The URL of a REST <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> Interface request has the following form:<br />
http://host[:port]/rest/Enterprise<strong>Map</strong>ping/<strong>Map</strong><strong>Tiling</strong><strong>Service</strong>/paramValue1/paramValue2/methodName.json<br />

This section describes the methods that are available in the <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> REST Interface.<br />
Description<br />
Returns the list of available named tiles for the <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> <strong>Service</strong>. Only the tiles listed in the response<br />
can have tiles generated.<br />
Note:<br />
Before sending any requests to the <strong>Map</strong> <strong>Tiling</strong> <strong>Service</strong>, it is good practice to send a <strong>Map</strong>List<br />
request to determine the available tiles of the service.<br />
HTTP GET URL Format<br />
The following format is used for HTTP GET requests:<br />

Parameters<br />
The mapList method does not have any input parameters. You only need to specify mapList.json as the<br />
REST parameter.<br />
